![]() Macdown is nice because it has split-view. ![]() This one is nice because its straight-forward, minimal, and has a dark mode. This is my currently preferred markdown editor, though I've been playing around with a few others. No more worrying about if I accidentally deleted all of my code and can't remember what was there before! It's all here for me ! It's easy to delete pastes, too, which is convenient. I love that it remembers everything, including the formatting of texts. Want a little help with clipboarding your Pastes? I recently came across this last year, and its been a game changer for me. If you need a pretty FTP client and don't want to break the bank, you should check out Flow or the very classic Cyberduck! It's my favorite FTP client, but I know, I know, it's pricey. I like this one more for the cute owl icon and because I can set my screensaver to go when I want, but another nice alternative is Amphetamine. Similar to another app called Caffeine, which has literally been around forever and hasn't worked very well with Sierra, this allows you to set when your display will go to sleep. Speaking of looking at your desktop being all pretty like, you should probably check this out. A plus feature is that you can save the images to your Pictures folder, and you can even visi the subreddit that it originated in. Lives in your menubar, but you can use it and then exit the app and it will maintain whatever wallpaper you recently set if you'd like. Easy way to find new wallpapers! It'll even refresh your wallpapers in the background at a time interval. Wanna customize your experience even more? Check this out. Before this, I used an app called Memory Clean, and before that, iStatMenus which are both still good, I just like to switch things up in my menubar, since I have to upgrade my Bartender2 and have limited space (SHOCKER). Also useful for seeing the biggest offenders using memory. I use this to check my RAM usage at a glance. ![]() This app let's you modify when it adjusts your screen's color pallet to be easier on your eyes. Night time is important to maintain your eyesight so you don't get headaches. Also you can set it up to do an automatic switch when it becomes night time. Also get your two bars to match by setting uBar to "System" theme. Lives up top and with a single-click you can toggle your windows to appear in a dark mode for easy viewing at night. Menubar need to match your swag new uBar? Check this out. It also will show you a calendar when you hover over the clock, highlighting the current day. I hid my clock from the menubar to give me so much-needed room. I have mine set up to the smallest view, and shortcut specific apps and folders I use constantly, then my trash, then clock. Set your dock to hide, then install this. It's also nice previewing iTunes albumart and being able to switch songs with ease. Preview everything in your dock! I like to set my icons in my dock to "minimize windows into application icon" in system settings, so this helps me tremendously. Life begins at your dock, right? Get this. Since you mentioned earlier in the comments about software to try, I figured I could point out a few things that I like to use that maybe you'll enjoy also (warning this is long): I'm happy to hear you're enjoying your new MBP! :) Reminds me of when I got my first iBook.
